Safety Procedures

Duty of care forms are always up to date and checked before we start work on any dog.

Dogs are kept separately unless owner request otherwise if they have more than one dog.

All staff are trained to the highest standards and qualified in first aid for dogs

The dog’s welfare will always come first.

The salon and the salon equipment is kept in the cleanest condition at all times, cages and work surfaces are hoovered and disinfected after each dog.

Electrical equipment is serviced and PAT tested annually.

Dogs are moved safely around the salon.

Aggressive dogs will be muzzled to avoid groomers being bitten.

Nervous dogs will be groomed at quieter salon times to avoid stress from other dogs.

Dogs are never allowed to jump up or down from tables.

Double doors are fitted in the salon to avoid dogs escaping.

Prescription only medicines (POM’s) We are able to shampoo your dog in a prescribed shampoo, as long as it’s prescribed by a vet, the label is clear with your dog’s name and your address on it. The shampoo must be in date, and we cannot use it on any other dog even from the same family.
